Knitty Nora's knitting natter
Knitty Nora has been having problems with her computer which have prevented her posting a message until now. The next podcast may take a while, as she has just given birth to twins! When she is not dealing with them, she is a keen knitter from the North East of England. Her podcast has been featured in Let's Knit magazine and has attracted listeners from the UK, the States, South Africa, Italy and Canada (that she knows of). Thank you everyone! Hello and thanks for looking at my podcast page!
Knitty Nora has been having problems with her computer which have prevented her posting a message until now. The next podcast may take a while, as she has just given birth to twins! When she is not dealing with them, she hopes to pick a different topic each time and go through some of the techniques I've used or have learned, review books I've found on the topic and anything else that I think might interest you.
Anyway, the best way to find out of my podcasts are for you is to listen to them -- give one a try!
If you would like to see some of the things I've knitted, click on the little photos or the link to my Etsy shop below.
If you like my theme tune, it's from a song called "Knitting" by Arthur Askey, a famous comedian from the 1930s and 40s. You can find this and others of his songs in iTunes or on many of his CDs, which are widely available.

Hi Nora! I'm enjoying hearing your podcasts, and love your music choice. I, too, would love a link to the music so that I can buy it. I've never heard of Arthur Askey before, and don't know EXACTLY what to purchase--iTunes does not seem to have anything that appears to be what you play.
Thanks so much--and keep up the good work!

Hi there,
Sorry not to have answered before but I hope this helps. Arthur Askey was very famous in his day but that was the 1930s and 40s! You can find his CDs on Amazon -- the one I have is called The Pixie -- or type "knitting" into the search engine of the iTunes store if you just want the one track.
I hope you find it successfully!
Love the intro music. I look froward to listening to your show.. :)
Hi Nora, Just listened to your first podcast and really enjoyed it so much that I will now subscribe so as not to miss any. I live in Stockton and am trying to work out where you are from, not here as we don't have a wool shop, is your weekly knitting group the one at Borders?, I have thought about going but not plucked up the courage yet. Thanks for a great podcast.
Helen
Hi Nora,
I've listened to your podcast and loved it. It was a lot of fun to hear all the girls talking bout their stashes!!

Hi Helen,
Yes, it is the one in Stockton and DO come along!
Hi Nora,
I just found your podcast today via a link from the "Cast On" group on Ravelry. Really enjoyed it - thank you! By the way, I am listening to you all the way from New Zealand!!! I am British by birth though, have only been in NZ 5.5 years. I actually went to the University of Newcastle upon Tyne 1989-1993, loved the people and the area, so as soon as I saw the words "North east England" I rushed along for a listen! Your first episode was an excellent intro and I have now subscribed in iTunes . . . looking forward to catching up with your next few episodes. I had heard of Arthur Askey before but not that particular song - great choice as theme music!!
Keep up the good work with the podcast!
