Knitty Nora's knitting natter
Knitty Nora has been having problems with her computer which have prevented her posting a message until now. The next podcast may take a while, as she has just given birth to twins! When she is not dealing with them, she is a keen knitter from the North East of England. Her podcast has been featured in Let's Knit magazine and has attracted listeners from the UK, the States, South Africa, Italy and Canada (that she knows of). Thank you everyone! Listen in to hear her knitting experiences and to find other links, hints and tips.

Hello and thanks for looking at my podcast page!
Knitty Nora has been having problems with her computer which have prevented her posting a message until now. The next podcast may take a while, as she has just given birth to twins! When she is not dealing with them, she hopes to pick a different topic each time and go through some of the techniques I've used or have learned, review books I've found on the topic and anything else that I think might interest you.
Anyway, the best way to find out of my podcasts are for you is to listen to them -- give one a try!
If you would like to see some of the things I've knitted, click on the little photos or the link to my Etsy shop below.
If you like my theme tune, it's from a song called "Knitting" by Arthur Askey, a famous comedian from the 1930s and 40s. You can find this and others of his songs in iTunes or on many of his CDs, which are widely available.

What a fun podcast! I enjoyed both episodes enormously, and your theme music is a hoot. I'm looking forward to the next one.
Hello, Nora,
I enjoyed your two podcasts. I, too loved the music. Could you put the link to the music in the blog? It passed by me, since I was listening at the gym. Looking forward to future episodes
Hi there,
Many thanks for your comments, I'm so glad you're enjoying my podcasts!
You can buy Arthur Askey's CDs through Amazon (the one I have is called The Pixie but it's also on Hello Playmates)or to buy the one song, put "knitting" into the search engine on the iTunes store.
I hope that helps!
I just found your podcast on socks and loved it. I was so glad to hear somebody say they did not understand the reason for handknit socks, but wanted to knit them anyway. I could not agree more, but I do want to learn to knit them. Maybe I will even wear them!!!
Hi, thanks for the great podcast. I am eagerly awaiting your next one having listened to all four now. The socks episode is wonderful, the needles you recommend Brittany Birch are great. I am now a sock knitter (OK only done one practice heel turn and started the rib for my first pair but from little things. One more reason for knitting socks: if you are a tall woman with big feet ladies socks stop at size 7 and you either cramp your feet into them or buy boring mens socks. Now I can have pink socks in my size. Ha Ha
Thank you so much for mentioning my sock pattern. I am delighted that you are enjoying it and heard on the next few episodes that you have now completed them!
Best wishes, Ellene
