Thanks for the laughter, this was a fun interview with some obviously lovely people with creative ideas (hm, excuses). Have just downloaded the Knitting song. Good luck with your podcast!

Nora, I love your podcast!!! I have thoroughly enjoyed each one. This particular episode is so entertaining that I am going to listen to it more than once. I live in the US, in the western part of New York State; very near the border with Canada. In this area we can watch TV shows from England that we refer to as Brit-coms. Shows like As Time Goes By, Are You Being Served, One Foot in the Grave, Keeping Up Appearances. I think that your knitting group would make a great Brit-com!!!! Thank you so much for doing your podcast for all those who listen, like me!!

Haha, as somebody who knows those ladies I think that gives a pretty accurate respresentation of the stash conversations we have. I have nowhere near 1000 balls but as I try out new projects my stash grows... I'm sure once I've discovered the joy of socks I'll acquire a large number of sock yarns! There are some yarns I admire, touch, stroke and wish for when I'm standing in shops!
I've listened to all of your podcasts today and they're great, please keep making them, I'm sure the group will be only too pleased to give you more material!

Thanks for a great podcast, yours has risen to the top of my list as a favorite. The interviews with your knitting group were fantastic. I live in California with a rapidly growing stash and have made a vow to myself that I will knit only from my stash for the next 6 months - can I keep this promise, I wonder? Or do I care? Only time will tell.
Looking forward to your next podcast!

Love your podcast. The stash stories were really entertaining. I can't believe the one about 1000 balls of yarn!!! Where on earth does she keep it all! I couldn't do it - I have a few spare balls, so that I can start a project whenever I fancy it, but that's all. I couldn't go and spend a fortune on yarn and then just look at it - I'd feel too guilty!

It's great to have another good UK podcast to listen to - already looking forward to the next one....

Thank you so much for your comments, they mean a lot to me! I'll pass them on to the knitting group, too, they'll be thrilled to know they are now knitting superstars -- and I think they deserve it!

I've been enjoying your podcasts, but this one about Ravelry was especially fun! I, too, was recently invited to join Ravelry and have been having a wonderful time getting things organized to put on the site. It is time-consuming though, isn't it?

Would love to visit your knitting group some day. Although as I live in Oregon, it would be a ways to come.
Thanks again. Norma in Oregon

Okay Nora, you're terrific! Just listened to the #4 and laughed so hard at the Knitting Group Ladies!! I'll be listening to it again. Love the format of you going to groups and interviewing other crazy knitters! Also enjoyed the Debbie Abrahams podcast too.

The Arthur Askey song is fantastic! I adore that genre of music so now must buy his cd.

Keep it up. Love the podcast and you're now up there as one of my favorites and look forward to your next one.

Hi Nora, love your podcast. This one had me laughing out loud in the car, which I had to explain to my family! Great podcast, looking forward to more episodes.

Nora, LOVE the podcast! I just listened to episode 1 and plan on listening to the rest very soon. Forgive me of my ignorance (I'm a bleedy American, born of Guyanese parents) but where exactly is Cleveland, England? Listening to your podcast reminds me of Guyana and New York, mainly because you use typically British words like "mad" for "crazy" which is a word I grew up with as a child in New York City. Keep the shows coming!

Nora, I love your podcast!! I listened to the Stashaholic episode and I laughed all the way home!! I saw myself in the ladies in the group--from not being able to resist adding to my stash to slipping it in when my husband is out. I am glad so many others have my "addiction". Debbie

Hi Nora -- love your podcasts! This one had me in stitches - laughing out loud on BART (our public transportation system). I am one of those knitters that is starting to get a large stash, but I do get a number of projects completed. I have about 4 active projects on my needles at one time: Something hard, something easy, socks & a baby something, whether as a gift or a charity knitted item.

And welcome to Ravelry! it is a wonderful place to visit with other knitters as passionate as we are about knitting. I love getting ideas from other knitters on what yarns to use on projects I am interested in. My next project is the Baby Surprise Sweater and I joined the BSJ group on Ravelry and looked at all of the 2,342 completed sweaters to help me (hopefully) artfully put in the stripes in an appealing manner!

I'm going to look you up in Ravelry and invite you to be a friend! Keep up the wonderful podcasts - I love them.

What a fun episode! I loved hearing the knitters talk about their stash and WIP issues. The laughter was absolutely contagious! Too bad you didn't identify your group members, but I can understand why they might want to remain anonymous. ;-) I am so glad I found your podcast, and will be a regular listener.

I love your podcast, it make me laugh a lot. The episode featuring your groups stash was fab.
No more guilt even if my hubby discovered one of my hiding places under the bed whilst dancing on the bed with the kids and wondered why they didn't go crashing down to the floor when they heard the loud crack of the bed breaking. Any more under there and our noses would be touching the ceiling!! I certainly didn't volunteer the info that I have plenty more hidden everywhere else all over the house including the childrens bedrooms!!!
I have done an online "window" shop this morning and now I've lost the guilty feeling am very tempted to go and click on the "continue to checkout" icon. I think I better go and have another cup of coffee first and consider the consequences if I go through with it.
Please carry on with the podcasts I enjoy them enormously.

Just listened to Epi4 last night, and I REALLY need to join Stashaholics Anonymous, and would love to join you and the Knitting Ladies. (I'm in Delaware, USA so it would be a bit of a swim!) I was knitting along, listening on the iPod, while hubby was watching some most serious documentary on the television. He was getting right annoyed at me for bursting out laughing repeatedly whilst he was immersed in some tragic situation!! (Apparently I was laughing loudest during the very worst parts!!)

And I almost cried when hiding yarn purchases in the car was mentioned, knowing what was out in my car right then! My car has a separate lower compartment for the spare tire, with a cover over that. Hehe, he might glance into the trunk/boot, but he'll probably never bother to lift that lid and look in there (unless a tire goes bad!).

Thanks for a most enjoyable episode. I'll look forward to more.

Hello and thanks for looking at my podcast page! Knitty Nora has been having problems with her computer which have prevented her posting a message until now. The next podcast may take a while, as she has just given birth to twins! When she is not dealing with them, she hopes to pick a different topic each time and go through some of the techniques I've used or have learned, review books I've found on the topic and anything else that I think might interest you. Anyway, the best way to find out of my podcasts are for you is to listen to them -- give one a try! If you would like to see some of the things I've knitted, click on the little photos or the link to my Etsy shop below. If you like my theme tune, it's from a song called "Knitting" by Arthur Askey, a famous comedian from the 1930s and 40s. You can find this and others of his songs in iTunes or on many of his CDs, which are widely available.
