I am unapologetic about choosing podcasts based on whether or not I can go to sleep listening to them. Not all---but I require a number of sleepable ones on the iPod at all times, and for those, volume modulation is key, especially if they play any music.

I was burned once by B.J. Harrison's Classic Tales, a free podcast I like very much. I made the mistake of going to sleep listening to his reading of "Tarzan". At one point Tarzan declares his victory over a rival with an earsplitting animal scream, and I had already gone to sleep. What a shock!

Oooh yes, I have been caught out like that too. Usually by sudden and loud music, though.

I have just found your podcast and I am really enjoying them - I have stopped watching tv now to listen to all your podcasts whilst knitting.

I was amazed at your stash interview - I have always simply brought the yarn for the project that I wish to do. However, I have found that the stashing bug is starting to creep in as I am starting to buy yarn for no reason and sneek it into the house!

Your podcast on socks has made me buy some double pointed needles and dig out my two balls of Adriafil Knitcol to have a go.

Keep up the good work with your podcast :)

Hi --

It's wonderful to have your podcasts back again!

I chuckled (aloud on the bus, the man next to me got up and moved...) when you talked about your one-by-one stash. I have the same issue; I can't resist the poor little orphan balls of yarn in the discount basket. It must be so sad to be the one left-behind ball or skein. So, I have come to love the books with one skein patterns.

Congrats on your twins -- enjoy! I have two sons (not twins) who are teenagers now and still a ton of fun --

I absolutely adore your podcast! I just recently found it and have downloaded them all onto my iPod. Congratulations on your twins - I have twin 6 year old boys and my favorite yarn shops are the ones with baskets full of toys to entertain children, (like Webs in Northampton, Massachusetts, US, which is only an hour from my home). May your children grow to love fiber, and not by knotting & tangling it all up!

Nora, I absolutely adore your podcast!! I listened to your latest one today while I was cleaning house. I loved listening to your baby "talking" in the background!! Isn't it wonderful to have a life with a husband, children, and knitting? Anyway, I just want you to know that I think your podcast is great and I love your personal manner! Podcast when you can. I'll be waiting patiently!

Hello and thanks for looking at my podcast page! Knitty Nora picks a different topic each time and goes through some of the techniques she's used or has learned, reviews books on the topic and anything else that might interest you. Anyway, the best way to find out of her podcasts are for you is to listen to them -- give one a try! If you would like to see some of the things I've knitted, click on the little photos or the link to my Etsy shop below. If you like my theme tune, it's from a song called "Knitting" by Arthur Askey, a famous comedian from the 1930s and 40s. You can find this and others of his songs in iTunes or on many of his CDs, which are widely available.
